Active Isolated Stretching

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a manual technique that isolates muscles that are to be stretched by contracting the opposing  muscles.  The use of breath with active and passive ranges of motion will send neurological signals telling specific muscles to relax or release.  It is very common for you to use straps while doing some of these techniques.  This will help you get the greatest movement possible.  It is also recommended to bring comfortable/loose clothing for these techniques.  Please call if you have any more questions or concerns.
